Walker returns to Middlesbrough following striker signing

Ste Walker's loan deal withMK Donshas been cut short and he has returned toMiddlesbroughjust a day after netting twice in the 2-0 win overNorthampton Town.

The 20-year-old scored five goals in 17 outings forRussell Martin's side this season - his second loan spell at the club - but following the signing of Charlie Brown fromChelseaon Wednesday morning, Dons have announced Walker will be heading back to Middlesbrough.

“Ste has worked really hard during his time with us but unfortunately he’s just not been able to get the minutes he would have liked,” Martin said. “For his own development, all parties agreed it was best that he went back to Middlesbrough.

"He has helped us, for sure, in the first half of this season and he goes with our thanks and best wishes.”
