Northampton Town vs MK Dons: All the action from the Papa John's Trophy

A second half played almost at walking pace, Dons are comfortably through to the quarter finals with a 2-0 win. Walker grabs both goals for the visitors, on a night Cobblers can have no complaints about.

Walker does the duty from the spot, sending Mitchell the wrong way to make it 2-0

Lewis Johnson comes on for Fraser for the final 10 minutes.

Nothing really to speak of in this half for either side, pretty comfortable for Dons.

The Northampton defence stands off Jerome, allowing him plenty of time to take a few touches and get a shot off, but Mitchell does well to keep it out before blasting his defenders for their lacklustre approach.

Joe Mason and the excellent Andrew Surman make way for Cameron Jerome and Ben Gladwin for the last 20 minutes or so.

Dons aren’t in any rush here, happy to play slow and confident football, making Northampton do a lot of chasing for no reward. Surman is having the game of his short Dons career in the centre of the park, disrupting and breaking up anything Northampton do.

Not as much cut and thrust from Dons in this half so far, but they look comfortable and have had the lion’s share of possession as usual.

They have carved a good chance though, with Sorensen’s cross finding Harvie at the far post, but the Scot takes it onto his right foot and bends wide.
