Bantams boss has given Bradford a new lease of life ahead of Dons visit

Mike Williamsonpraised the impact ofKevin McDonaldatBradford Cityahead of their trip toStadium MKthis evening to playMK Dons.

McDonald took over from sacked manager Mark Hughes at the start of October, and has led the Bantams to two wins and a draw inLeague Two, lifting them to 11th in the table.

Williamson and McDonald are former team-mates at Wolverhampton Wanderers, and have found themselves as League Two counterparts this month. With the Dons boss heading into his second game in charge, having lost his opener away atAccringtonon Saturday, Williamson said it will be no easy task to see off the Bantams.

“They're a huge club, with huge expectations,” Williamson said. “I've played with Kevin, and he's a great character. You can see from the results and their style, he's given them a new lease of life, a freedom, but he demands high intensity and structure.

“They've got some very effective players for this level, and it will be tough for us. But we're at home, and I'm looking forward to meeting the fans here and experiencing that.

“I hope we can meet more of the fans after seeing the travelling support on Saturday, and I hope we can put in more of a complete performance.”
