Police remain silent about major incident near Milton Keynes estate

Police have not yet revealed details about a major incident that happened near Glebe Farm estate late at Wavendon last night.

Just before 10pm, Newport Road was closed at the entrance to the estate and a large number of police vehicles, along with ambulances, rushed to the scene.

The underpass that leads to the BP garage on Newport Road was taped off and police officers were seen searching bushes in the area,

The police activity continued until the early hours of the morning and seemed to be centred around the underpass and the nearby redway.

Sightings of forensic tents have been reported.

“It seems, sadly, as though something really bad has happened. Everyone is speculating but we are just waiting for some sort of announcement from police,” said one resident.

The Citizen has put in a press enquiry to Thames Valley Police. We are awaiting a reply.
